Snobbato (di nuovo, dopo i Golden Globes) Robert De Niro, i suoi due compagni in The Irishman, Joe Pesci e Al Pacino, hanno ricevuto la nomination come non protagonisti, il film come miglior cast, ma l'attore non è stato nominato nella cinquina dei protagonisti. Un assenza che si nota e che francamente risulta incomprensibile. Fortunatamente l'attore riceverà il meritato tributo con la consegna del SAG Award alla carriera.
Tra le nominate come migliore attrice protagonista c'è Renée Zellweger per il film Judy, e se dovesse vincere farà la storia dei SAG. L'attrice infatti ha ricevuto due volte questo premio, nel 2003 per Chicago (per cui ha preso anche il premio al miglior cast) e nel 2004 per Ritorno a Cold Mountain, un piccolo record che condivide con Frances McDormand, e se dovesse vincere il premio del 2020, sarebbe la prima attrice ad averne ben tre in bacheca. Nemmeno Meryl Streep ha mai vinto tre SAG, l'unico fino ad oggi è stato Daniel Day-Lewis. Vedremo se Renée Zellweger riuscirà a fare la storia.
Per quanto riguarda la tv, The Crown e The Morning Show hanno ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination. Spazio anche a Il Trono di Spade, con il "solito" Peter Dinklage (miglior attore serie drama), migliore cast e migliori stunt.
La cerimonia si terrà il 19 gennaio. Ecco tutte le nomination di Cinema e Tv.
