New York Film Critics Circle - Drive My Car miglior film

Assegnati ieri i premi del New York Film Critics Circle, associazione che vede tra i membri una trentina di critici di quotidiani, settimanali, riviste, anche online, con sede a New York. Un premio poco indicativo in chiave Oscar.

A vincere come miglior film è stato Drive My Car, film giapponese di tre ore diretto da Ryūsuke Hamaguchi.

Tre premi per Il Potere del Cane di Jane Campion, migliore regia, attore protagonista e Benedict Cumbarbatch, e attore non protagonista a Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Decisamente a sorpresa il premio per la migliore attrice, andato a Lady Gaga per House of Gucci, film stroncato dalla critica. Come migliore attrice non protagonista, premiata Kathryn Hunter per The Tragedy of Macbeth, in cui interpreta le tre streghe.
