I critici di Los Angeles premiano Drive My Car come miglior film

La Los Angeles Film Critics Association si è riunita ieri per scegliere i migliori film e le migliori performance del 2021.

Dopo sei ore di riunione, il premio come miglior film è stato assegnato al giapponese Drive My Car, diretto da Ryūsuke Hamaguchi. Presentato all'ultimo Festival di Cannes, dove ha vinto il premio per la migliore sceneggiatura, quello di Hamaguchi è un film che si sta ritagliando il proprio spazio in questa stagione dei premi.

Come "runner-up", una specie di secondo posto, è stato scelto Il Potere del Cane. Esattamente l'opposto invece per il premio alla migliore regia, con Jane Campion (Il Potere del Cane) premiata e Hamaguchi runner-up.

Migliore attrice Penelope Cruz per Madres Paralelas, migliore attore Simon Rex per Red Rocket. Nella categoria migliore attore non protagonista, pari merito tra Vincent Lindon (il controverso Titane) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Il Potere del Cane). Migliore attrice non protagonista Ariana DeBose per West Side Story.
