Nelle cinquine delle categorie attori/attrici, ci sono tutti i nomi che ci si aspettava. Colpo di coda di Nicole Kidman e Javier Bardem, nominati per Being the Ricardos, uscito proprio pochi giorni fa. C'è Emma Stone per Cruella nella categoria Comedy/Musical, stessa categoria della giovane protagonista di West Side Story, Rachel Zegler. C'è anche Kristen Stewart (Spencer) nella cinquina delle migliori attrici Drama dove, onestamente, sorprende la presenza di Lady Gaga, perché il film è stato stroncato dalla critica di tutto il mondo e perché non si tratta di una performance molto "drama".
In generale, c'è molto musical in questa edizione, con West Side Story, Tick, Tick... Boom!, Cyrano, In the Heights, Annette.
Per la TV, ci sono tutti i maggiori titoli della stagione, Succession, Ted Lasso, Omicidio a Easttown, Scene da un Matrimonio, e anche la serie coreana Squid Game. Si ritaglia il suo spazio anche Only Murders in the Buildings, che riporta tra i nominati Steve Martin e Martin Short.
