A portarsi a casa il maggior numero di premi è stato Lady Bird, debutto alla regia dall'attrice Greta Gerwig. Il premio non è particolarmente indicativo in chiave Oscar ma è sicuramente un ottimo risultato e un'ottima pubblicità per il film in previsione della "parte calda" della stagione dei premi, e con le nomination per gli Oscar in arrivo a fine mese.
