Annunciate poco fa le nomination agli Oscar 2024, e c'è qualche sorpresa.
Qualche nome a sorpresa nelle cinquine degli interpreti e, ovviamente nel rovescio della medaglia, assenti illustri. Come Margot Robbie, esclusa a sorpresa dalla cinquina delle migliori attrici protagoniste in favore di Sandra Huller (Anatomia di una caduta). Ma se da una parte Barbie "perde" una nomination, la recupera in un'altra categoria, con America Ferrera nominata a sorpresa tra le non protagoniste. Niente da fare anche per Leonardo DiCaprio (Killers of the Flower Moon), fuori dalla cinquina per il migliore attore protagonista.
Da notare la presenza di tre "vecchi" tra i nominati, come Robert De Niro (Killer of the Flower Moon), Jodie Foster (Nyad) e Annette Bening (Nyad).
Fa la storia invece Lily Gladstone (Killer of the Flower Moon), è infatti la prima attrice nativa americana candidata agli Oscar nella storia dell'Academy.
Nomination numero 54 per John Williams con la colonna sonora di Indiana Jones e il Quadrante del Destino. Sorprende molto l'assenza di Barbie nella cinquina per il miglior trucco e acconciatura, un'assenza grave, la nomination sarebbe stata più che meritata.
Nella cinquina per i migliori effetti visivi, spicca il film giapponese Godzilla Minus One, che dopo aver conquistato il box office USA si prende anche una nomination.
La cerimonia di premiazione si terrà nella notte tra il 10 e l'11 marzo. Ecco tutte le nomination.
