Leonardo Di Caprio è assente fra i migliori attori in generale ma si "consola" con la nomination come migliore attore in una commedia per 'The Wolf of Wall Street' di Martin Scorsese, film che in tutto si è preso 6 nomination. Doppia nomination anche per Jennifer Lawrence, migliore attrice non protagonista per 'American Hustle' e migliore attrice in un film d'azione per 'Hunger Games - La Ragazza di Fuoco'.
